At JMS, we recently undertook the complex design of structural framing for a mixed-use development at the Bakers Arms site, Walthamstow. Brought in to value engineer the original plans, we faced challenges including complete plot coverage and limited site access.
We began with initial sketch layouts, progressing to detailed 3D structural modelling. This allowed us to refine the design, aligning it seamlessly with the architectural vision and pre-empting potential construction issues.
The use of advanced 3D modelling facilitated the identification of spatial constraints and optimised construction processes. Through close collaboration with the client and construction team, we developed an innovative, efficient structural solution.
